its deafening voice bouncing to the walls of solitude,

time stretched by patience,

patience's thread elongated by blindfolded love,

throngs of shadows watch me as they stand

outside the colossal hourglass confining me

falling sand along with chunks of melancholy submerging me

slowly

as i sit at the bottom, waiting for you to come and save
